There are n number of routes for chandigarh. But here I am giving you a brief idea regarding this –
- By Train – Chandigarh Railway Station is connected with all the major stations of India. Among those Howrah railway station, New Delhi, Mumbai , Lucknow , Chennai are famous. But you can get the direct trains like Punjab mail, Amritsar mail, Paschim express from your nearby railway station.
- By Flight – Chandigarh International Airport is connected to all the domestic and international airports all over the world. You can easily get a direct flight from your nearby airport.
- By Bus – You can also travel by bus . But for that you have to come to New Delhi railway station by Rajdhani express . Then get a cab or bus or auto , you can come to Maharana pratap Bus terminal. After that you can get buses that will bring you directly to the sector17 , Chandigarh.
- By Car – Chandigarh is on an about 4.5 hours drive away from New Delhi on the NH1 road.

If you are willing to have a trip to chandigarh , then I will suggest you not to have a travel only in chandigarh. There are several travel spots near chandigarh which are hardly 50km away from the city. I am mentioning the 5 famous places near chandigarh where I had been there.
1. PINJORE GARDEN , HARIYANA

Pinjore Gardens, also known as Yadavindra Gardens, is a historic 17th-century Mughal-style garden located in Pinjore, Haryana. Spread over 100 acres, the garden was built by Nawab Fidai Khan, the architect of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Designed in the traditional Charbagh layout, it features terraced lawns, fountains, pavilions, and a central water channel that flows through the entire garden. Pinjore Gardens is a popular tourist destination, especially during festivals like the Mango Festival and Baisakhi, offering visitors a blend of natural beauty, history, and cultural heritage.

Street food is equally popular, with golgappas, tikki chaat, and Amritsari kulchas being local favorites. Among the sweets , Ghee di pinni , Laddus , Gulab jamun are the best.
PLACES TO EAT IN CHANDIGARH:

There are several places to eat in chandigarh. Those are “Pal Dhaba”, “The Willow Cafe”, “Whistling Duck” , “Backpacker’s Cafe” and “ The Katani Dhaba” . Among these , I liked the most was “The katani Dhaba”. Here you can get unlimited amount of food by paying 200/- only. But this dhaba is only for vegeterians. Among the dishes , you can get , Dal chawal , puri sabzi, Parathha ,Roti sabzi, pulaw , Chhole chawal , Dahi vara and what not. The “ KATANI DHABA” is situated in sector 3B2 , Mohali , Punjab.
THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN CHANDIGARH:
No trip is complete without doing shopping and when it comes to chandigarh, there are 2 famous places to do shopping with a reasonable budget.
1. ELANTE MALL
